The next meeting of the Jones County Board of Health will be on Tuesday, May 28th at 6:00 pm in the multi-purpose conference room between the Health Department and DSS located at 418 Hwy 58 N,  Unit C in Trenton.

Jones County Health Department is now offering the Moderna/Spikevax 2023-2024 COVID-19 vaccine, a one-dose formulation intended to reduce the incidence and severity of COVID-19 infection throughout the respiratory illness season.

PLEASE NOTE: COVID-19 and influenza (regular and high-dose) vaccines are available free-of-charge to all, whether insured or uninsured. 


The Jones County Board of Health passed the amended rule “Regulation of Tobacco Products in Local Government Buildings” which has been adopted as an ordinance by Jones County and goes into effect on December 1st, 2022. This ordinance prohibits the use of all tobacco products on Health Department property. To see more about this ordinance, click here.

Jones County contracts with Onslow County for Mosquito and Vector Control services.  Please call the Soil and Water Conservation District at 252-448-2341 ext. 3 to report mosquito activity in your township and request spraying.
